About Trawool
Trawool, originally named ‘Traawool’, the indigenous word for ‘wild water’, is a district
dominated by stunning scenery and some of Australia’s best growers, makers and creators.
In the east you’ll find the Bald Hills and, in the west, Warrigul Rocks.
In 1983, the National Trust awarded the Trawool Valley a Scenic Classification, recognising
its importance as a scenic, geological and cultural site, and for its great diversity of flora and
fauna – so when we say it’s seriously scenic, know we mean it! It’s also so easy to hop on
the Great Victorian Rail Trail!
